Paducah is a small city near the western tip of Kentucky, built at the point where the Ohio and Tennessee Rivers meet. It lies roughly halfway between the cities of St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee, both about two and a half hours away if you hire a car in Paducah.
Just over 25 miles away you can enjoy camping, fishing, horse riding, hiking and biking along the shores of Kentucky Lake, one of the world's largest man-made lakes, and Lake Barkley. The Lakes National Recreation Area also offers a museum and a planetarium as well as an Elk and Bison Prairie.
