The gentleman at the counter was a great helpful understanding and all-around nice guy . Collecting the car was OK, bit slap dash. Here is the key. See you later see any marks. Let us know we all know that car hire companies love to blame you for stuff you did not do, so take pictures before you leave . Will never understand this deposit system and paying for fuel before you leave, but when you come, you are charged again, but in general, satisfaction is approved

A very good experience overall. Car (Electric Polestar) was clean and excellent. Most charging experiences were painless, only two were problematic, and nothing to do with the car. Picking up was not so nice an experience since Hertz Gatwick decided to change their counter opening time to 8 and, not the 6 am indicated on Google maps. Not helpful when your flight lands at 6 am, and you have to wait 90 minutes to collect the car. Staff, when they arrived, were helpful though. Dropping off was painless and quick

Dear Firefly/Hertz Team, your customer service form is not working and I cannot find an email address, so I am trying here. I have rented a car with you via Firefly from 20 August to 3rd September with a full-full tank agreement. However, the tank was only half full when I got the car (see the photo attached). Could you please let me know how to proceed - return the car half full or return it full and get a refuns for the half tank? Thank you and kind regards Sabrina PS to other customers: Besides the tank and customer service struggle, we got a lovely clean car from a nice member of staff after a short wait and were not talked into any additional insurances.

Shuttled over to this location. Seemed pretty organized. I ended up renting off Avis though.

Petrol / Diesel vehicles:
If you do not take our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) – see Fuel Policy for details - and do not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, we will fill the tank for you and charge you for the costs we incur and the service we provide in doing so.
Our costs include purchasing, storing and managing our own fuel supplies, or refilling the tank off site, plus manpower and administration costs. Our service, of course, saves you from taking the time to find a local fuel station and refilling the vehicle yourself.
The refuelling charge for your rental will be calculated as follows:
3 x weekly pump price taken from the EU Commission Energy website.
We will show the actual cost of refuelling on your rental agreement when you pick up your vehicle.
Electric vehicles:
Hertz will record the vehicle battery charge at the start of the rental. Failure to return the vehicle in the same state of charge as at pick-up will result in a recharging fee for the missing kWh. The per kWh fee changes from time to time with energy price adjustments but the current per kWh fee amount is available at the pick-up location.
