Imagine having access to a car all weekend, every weekend, for a flat monthly fee? This is the power of our subscription offer 'My Hertz Weekend'. The package includes unlimited mileage, a free Additional Driver allowance and no cleaning or maintenance costs.

Where is My Hertz Weekend available?

My Hertz Weekend is currently available at your choice at the following Hertz locations. More city-based branches in the United Kingdom, and other European countries, will be added soon.

Are there any minimum driver age or driving licence requirements?

Yes. You need to be at least 25 years old and have a full, clean driving licence that is valid from your My Hertz Weekend subscription start date for 12 months or more.

Do I need to make a booking every time for each weekend?

No. You don't need to book a car each time. Once your subscription starts we'll automatically reserve a car for you each weekend.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription for free up to 7 days before the monthly anniversary of your start date. Simply email us or call 020 7026 0077 and quote your Gold Plus Rewards number.

What types of vehicles are available with My Hertz Weekend?

We offer three sizes of cars, 'Small, Medium and Large'. Sparklingly clean and expertly serviced, the cars are always in great condition and are often less than 6 months old.

Please note that the choice of make and model is subject to availability and that the car you hire might not match the vehicle shown on this website. However, rest assured that the car we provide will always be similar in size and performance or better.

What is included in the monthly rate?

The Basic Rate includes:

  • Unlimited mileage
  • Basic cover: Theft Protection and Collision Damage Waiver (excess* applies)
  • Location Service Charge (LSC)
  • Vehicle Licence Fee (VLF)
  • Total Sales Tax
  • Additional Driver Allowance at no extra cost
  • The Basic Rate plus SuperCover includes all of the above features but with zero excess applied to the Theft Protection and Collision Damage Waiver cover products.

*The excess is the maximum amount you would have to pay if an insurance claim arises in relation to your car hire.

Does My Hertz Weekend include unlimited mileage?

Yes

Is there a minimum contract period?

Yes. The minimum contract period is one solar month. So for example, if your subscription starts on the 15th of April, it will end on the 14th of May. Unless we hear otherwise from you, your subscription will be automatically renewed.

Is another person allowed to drive the car?

Yes. The My Hertz Weekend subscription package includes a free Additional Driver allowance. We will need to see the driving licence of the person you would like to share the driving with you at the time of pick up.

What is the fuel policy?

The price of fuel isn't included in the monthly rate so all we ask is that you return the car to us with a full tank each time. To avoid extra charges for the missing fuel and the payment of an adminstration fee, please return the car with a full tank. The service station you use to refuel the car should be as close to the Hertz drop off location as possible (i.e. within 15km).

How do I subscribe to My Hertz Weekend?

Additional services
How do I add any extras to my booking (e.g. a Child Safety Seat)?

Any extras can be arranged for you at the service counter at the time of pick up. You'll be billed for these in addition to your monthly subscription and they must be paid for at the time of drop off.

What if I want to change my car this weekend?

We always give you the flexibility to upgrade to a larger car, depending on availability, and for an extra charge. This charge is billed in addition to your monthly subscription and must be paid for at the time of drop off.

Vehicle pick up and drop off
When can I pick up and return the car?

You can pick-up your car anytime from 2pm onwards on Thursday, right up to and including anytime on Sunday - within your chosen Hertz location's normal operating hours.

You can return your car anytime between 2pm Thursday and midday on Monday. Please return the car to the same Hertz location you collected it from within the given time to avoid being charged for an extra day. The extra day will be calculated based on the daily rate of the subscription package you choose. Returning it to a different location is not permitted.

Where do I go to pick up the car?

Please go to the service counter at the Hertz location at the time of pick up to complete the rental process. You'll be asked to present a full, clean valid driving licence, photo ID, and the credit card that you used at the time of booking with the main driver's name printed on it.

How do I return the car?

Returning the car to the same Hertz location you collected it from is part of our Rental Agreement. Drop off outside of our normal opening hours is permitted, if you arrange it with us beforehand.

What if I don't need a car this weekend?

Not a problem. You don't need to pick up a car every weekend and you don't need to let us know.

Payment method
How does the monthly payment work?

For security and identity confirmation purposes, you'll need to pay for your subscription with a credit card. We will then invoice you each month.

Please note that we hold a deposit of up to £200 on your payment card each time you pick-up the vehicle. We then release our hold on the deposit once you have returned the car to us in the same condition we supplied it to you in. Access to the released funds on your credit card can take up to 30 days depending on the card issuer and you should contact them directly for details.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We apologise for any inconvenience but credit cards are the only accepted method of payment at this time.
