Berlin is the capital city of Germany, and one of the largest cities in Europe. Berlin is a fairly green area, with one third of the city being made up of woodland, parks, gardens and rivers. Car hire from Berlin is a must if you wish to see everything – the city is full of attractions and sights - as is the Berlin-Brandenburg Region. There are two zoos in the city, and the older of the two - the Zoologischer Garten Berlin - has the world record for keeping the most diverse range of species. You can also visit the Alexanderplatz shopping mall by hiring a car from Berlin – the mall is one of the most popular in Germany.
Berlin was part of the Kingdom of Prussia, and close by is a remnant of the Old Prussian Empire – Potsdam. Potsdam is only half an hour way via car hire from Berlin. In Potsdam you can see the landscaped garden built by Frederick the Great around the Sanssouci Palace. Not all of Potsdam is Prussian; there is also a Dutch area which was the scene of a meeting between Stalin, Churchill and Truman about Europe after the war. The mixed heritage of the city shows in the Russian-style houses clustered around an orthodox church. It's well worth renting a car from Berlin and spending a day or two in Potsdam.
With a wide range of travellers passing through our locations every day, we've got a wide range of vehicles on offer to suit your needs - from smart executive saloons to compact family hatchbacks. ***
