Termini Station is Rome's main railway hub and one of Europe's busiest stations. Trains travel all over the continent from here but Termini is also a centre for local transport too: suburban trains, metro and buses all link here. The building itself is a memorable monumental structure with a cavernous interior, underground shopping centre including a supermarket and restaurants on balconies overlooking the platforms. Visitors who collect a hire car at Rome Termini Station are well placed to explore the eternal city. It's centrally located near the National Museum of Rome and Castro Pretorio Church and close to major arterial roads and the Piazza della Republica road junction.
Termini Station stands near the centre of Rome, making it an ideal location for driving to the sights nearby. For example, it's very close to the pretty Villa Borghese landscaped gardens, the popular landmark of the aqueduct-fed Trevi Fountain and the Piazza di Spagna's famous Spanish Steps. If you pick up a hire car at the Termini Station though, you can drive to all the world famous attractions of the Italian capital, including the impressive remains of the Colosseum gladiators' arena, the Vatican and St Peter's papal basilica.
