- The A63 is a major motorway that loops around Biarritz's southern edge. Follow it north to reach Bordeaux.
- The D260 breaks away from the D810 towards central Biarritz. Use this road to reach Port Vieux and La Grande Plage.
How to get from Biarritz to San Sebastian
The Spanish resort town of San Sebastian is just under an hour’s drive from Biarritz.
- Head out of the city along the D260 and, at the roundabout, take the first exit on to D810 South.
- After a mile, join the A63 at junction 4 and continue for 13 miles (21km).
- At the Spanish border, continue onto the AP-8 for seven-and-a-half miles (12km).
- Keep left to join the GI-20, then take exit 7 into San Sebastian.
How to get from Biarritz to Bordeaux
You can drive from Biarritz to Bordeaux, the wine-growing capital of France, in around two and a half hours. Just head out of Biarritz on the D260 to join the D810. Then take the A63 north towards Bordeaux. Finally, merge onto the A630 and take Exit 16 into Bordeaux.
