Enjoy reliable car hire in the Nevada with Hertz. We offer convenient pick-up, a wide selection of vehicles, and hassle-free journeys.
Nevada has a way of surprising first-time visitors. Yes, Las Vegas is the headline, but it also works as a starting point for desert drives, red-rock trails, and quick escapes to places like Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire.
If you go north, Reno brings a different energy with art districts, local food, and an easy route to Lake Tahoe’s shoreline and mountain viewpoints. Between these cities, Nevada stretches out into long, open highways, small towns, and wide landscapes where the road itself feels like part of the experience.
That is where Hertz car rental in Nevada comes in.
A Hertz car hire in Nevada gives you the freedom to move at your own pace, plan day trips without the stress of fixed schedules, and choose a vehicle that suits your route, whether you want something compact for the city or more space for longer drives.

Nevada is made for road trips, and an electric car can make the drive feel calmer and easier. EVs are quiet in Las Vegas traffic, smooth on the highway, and comfortable for day trips out to places like Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, and the Lake Mead area.
If you are heading farther, you can plan simple charging breaks along the way while the scenery does the rest.
With Hertz, electric car hire in Nevada is simple. Pick an EV that best aligns with your route, collect it from convenient locations, and enjoy a modern way to travel with significantly lower emission levels.
Nevada is steadily becoming more EV-friendly, with around 2,155 charging points now available across the state. That makes it easier to plan charging stops as you go, whether you are driving around Las Vegas for the day or heading out on longer routes toward places like Reno and Lake Tahoe.
This wider access makes choosing an EV in Nevada a practical option, especially if you want a quieter, smoother drive for city miles, open highways, and day trips where the road is part of the experience.
Nevada does not currently impose any congestion charges. There is no congestion-pricing zone in places like Las Vegas or Reno, where you pay a fee simply to drive into a city center or busy area.
Nevada also does not charge tolls on public roads, so you will not see congestion-style road fees as part of normal driving.
Nevada does not have any toll roads. The state’s public road network, including major routes used by visitors such as interstates and state highways, can be driven without paying toll fees.

For pickup in Nevada, we recommend you bring your valid driver’s license, plus a passport or government-issued ID. The main driver will also need a payment card in their own name for the security deposit. If you keep your booking confirmation on your phone, we can usually get you on the road faster. If your license is not in the Latin alphabet, please bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) as well.
Age rules can vary by pickup location and vehicle category. We do rent to many drivers under 25, but a young renter surcharge may apply, and certain car types may be restricted. To give you the most accurate answer for your booking, please check the Rental Qualifications shown at checkout.
In most cases, a credit card in the main driver’s name is the easiest option, since it’s commonly required for the deposit. Some locations also accept debit cards, but extra conditions may apply, especially at airport locations. We suggest checking the payment rules listed for your exact pickup location before you arrive.
Fuel is typically not included. Many rentals follow a full-to-full policy, meaning you return the car at the fuel level shown in your booking to avoid refueling charges. If you’d prefer a quicker return, you can ask the counter team about a Fuel Purchase Option at pickup.
Cancellation depends on whether your booking is prepaid or pay at pickup. With many prepaid reservations, you can cancel up to 48 hours before pickup for a full refund, while later cancellations may involve a fee based on your terms. If you’re paying at pickup, cancellation is usually free before pickup, but a no-show fee may apply if the vehicle isn’t collected or the reservation isn’t canceled in advance.
