Hertz at Reading

Reading is the commercial hub for many of the citizens of the Thames Valley and also for a huge number of residents situated in the towns surrounding the M4. it's a popular commuter town to and from London, and its location just outside of the capital means that it tempts shoppers who don't want to brave the big city's crowded stores.

Shopping is one of Reading's main attractions for visitors. The Oracle shopping centre is a huge mall situated in the town centre, and Broad Street is full of high-street boutiques.

Hiring a car in Reading may be worthwhile as retail parks make a big trade in this part of the world and the best examples are Forbury Retail Park just off the A329, and Vastern Court Retail Park which is situated on Caversham Road. There are a number of other parks all within a 5 mile radius including Brunel Retail Park, Reading Retail Park, Reading Gate Retail Park and Reading Link Retail Park. Reading is based on the M4 so anyone from Newbury, Swindon, Slough or London may find it a good bet for stress free shopping.

The town has a blossoming University so a lot of students pursue hiring a car in Reading as a cheap option for the commute home.

Reading is just over 41 miles from London city centre on the M4, and only around 25 miles from the M25 so it has assumed an important role in the area outside of London. Tourists may use the town as a base and rent a car in Reading in order to travel into the capital.
