Key roads in Exeter
- M5 - The main motorway into Exeter if you're arriving from the north or east. It passes through Taunton, Weston-Super-Mare, Bristol, and on to Birmingham.
- A38 - Skirts around the southern edge of Dart moor National Park and will take you to Plymouth and then onwards into Cornwall - you can follow it as far as Bodmin and then move on to the A30 for Penzance and the westernmost point of England.
- A377 - Cuts through the west of Exeterand joins the A30. It heads to north Devon and Barnstaple.

It takes little over an hour to drive the 46 miles from Exeter to Plymouth.
- Start on New North Road / B3183.
- Take St. Davids Hill to Bonhay Road/ A377.
- Join Devon Expressway / A38.
- Exit towards Plymouth Road / A374.
- Follow A374 to North Cross Roundabout.
How to get from Exeter to Bristol
Exeter is just an hour and a half drive away from Bristol. Just take the B3183 and Honiton Road / A3015 to join the M5. Follow the M5 for about an hour and leave at exit 19. Continue on A369 to reach your destination.
