If you visit the Yorkshire Dales National Park you'll find some of Britain's best-loved landscapes. The unspoilt valleys cutting through high moorland provide plenty of inspiration for activity-filled days out, like hiking, cycling, photography and touring. Picturesque villages like Grassington are found on the park's outskirts, providing a pleasant day's sightseeing, while parts of an expansive cave system underneath the rolling hills are open for public visits. In Wensleydale you'll also find the Dales Countryside Museum, with its many collections dedicated to the social history of the region, and also includes a working steam train on the old Wensleydale railway.
