You’ll find two Hertz rental desks at the airport. There are counters at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 – A/B/C/D/E and F (sub-terminals of Terminal 2). Simply follow the signs to the 'Car Rental' areas.

Hertz desks are open from the time of the first flight to the time of the last flight. You can find our desks opposite the international arrivals in Terminal 1. In Terminal 2 the desk is in offices facing the shopping level between sectors ABCD.

Both the vehicle and hire desk are located inside the terminal buildings. You can pick up and drop off your vehicle at Hertz in the rental car building between Terminals 2E and 2F. Just follow the airport signs.

Where to return your hire car

You should allow between 30 minutes and one hour when you are driving to Charles de Gaulle Airport from the city centre.

Depending on where you are coming from, we recommend you take the following roads:

• A1 Motorway to-from Paris (Porte de la Chapelle) + Lille, Brussels
• A3 Motorway to-from Paris (Porte de Bagnolet)
• A104 Motorway to-from Marne-la-vallée (Disneyland Resort) + A4 Motorway
• D104 to-from Cergy-Pontoise
• N102 to-from Paris (Porte de la Villette) + Soissons, Laon

There are three terminals at Charles de Gaulle and Terminal 2 has seven sub-terminals (2A to 2G) – this is where you need to return your Hertz vehicle to. 

Drop off your vehicle to Hertz in the rental car building between Terminals 2E and 2F. With Hertz, you can return your vehicle at any time (as long as at your agreed time), including outside our business hours via a drop-box, where keys and completed documents can be left. Just follow the signage to drop your vehicle at the Hertz area of the parking lot. Then you simply walk into the terminal building and follow the signs to reach your departure area.

What to do when you return your hire car

When you return your vehicle, if it’s out of hours (between 06:00 and 00:00) a return key box is available at T1 and T2D and 2F. Van returns are available only on terminals 2D and 2F. The terminal 1 counter is located in the car park on level Red. At Terminal 2: C, D E and F, the Hertz counter and car park are located in the car rental park. Sub-terminal 2G is closed.

How To Extend Your Hire Car Booking

Alternatively, let our staff know when you pick up your vehicle or contact the branch once you are on the road to arrange for additional days.

Do I need to put a deposit down?

Yes, you need to pay a deposit with your chosen payment method when you hire the car. We hold this on your registered form of payment and return it to you when the hire vehicle has been returned and the agreement has closed. The deposit amount will vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle you hire.

Can I still return my Hertz car if the location is closed?

Our Charles de Gaulle branches are open from 06:00 to 00:00. But you can still return your vehicle outside of these hours. You can post the keys and rental agreement paperwork in our rental locations have a key box at T1 and T2D and 2F. You can check the opening hours of your car hire location and the services available, using our online location search tool or by calling us.
