It has a variety of stunning scenery, much of which is provided by Flinders Chase National Park, as well as the Kelly Hill Conservation Park and Caves. Tourism is huge business here, and car hire on Kangaroo Island is popular due to the location's compact and driveable geography. Hiring a car on Kangaroo Island is available from Kingscote Airport and Penneshaw Wharf.
Most visitors to Kangaroo Island will arrive via Adelaide, then ferrying to Penneshaw Wharf. In Penneshaw you'll find some of the island's famous beaches - Brown Beach, Baudin Beach etc. - as well as Cape Willoughby Lighthouse. Visitors often go about hiring a car on Kangaroo Island, and then travel to destinations throughout, including Kingscote, which being the island's capital, is something of a commercial hub.
