Our pick-up location at Taunton train station is a short drive from most of the town’s industrial and business parks, as well as being a couple of minutes from some of the area’s main routes.
Taunton an easy town to navigate with few one-way streets, and congestion is relatively minor, even around peak times. There’s plenty of parking in the centre, but look out for height limits, especially if you’re driving a taller vans – there are no size restrictions for Canon Street car park.
For Priory Fields Retail Park – a five-minute drive – head south from the station along Station Road/Kingston Road (A3038) to pick up the A3087. Chelston Business Park is just a 20-minute drive south along the A38.
There are plenty of shops in the town centre, and while the High Street is pedestrianised, there are plenty of places to park nearby.
Taunton has excellent motorway links, making it an ideal starting point for home or university moves. Follow Toneway (A358) east out of Taunton to join the M5 and junction 25. Head south and you’ll reach Exeter in 45 minutes; head north and you’ll be in Bristol in an hour.
If you’re heading off on an adventure, Exmoor National Park is on Taunton’s doorstep to the west, the Quantock Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to the north, and Blackdown Hills AONB to the south. Glastonbury, meanwhile, is 45 minutes north-east along the A361.
