Bath is a relatively small city, though the city centre is expanding to encompass the growing industrial sector within the city. Our central location means it’s simple to get from picking up your van to where you need to be.
Head across the river and turn right onto Newbridge Road and right again onto Locksbrook Road to reach the Locksbrook Road Trading Estate. The journey takes under five minutes. Carry on travelling down Locksbrook Road and you’ll find The Maltings Industrial Estate. Home to Topps Tiles and plenty of places to pick up the tools and machinery you might need for your DIY project or construction job.
Staying on our side of the River Avon, you can head South to the A36 which will take you west towards Weston Lock Retail Park to collect your white goods from Currys. If you continue west along this ring road, you’ll reach Corston and Bath Spa University. Following the A36 in the opposite direction towards Widcombe will take you to Bath’s largest university – the University of Bath – in around 10 minutes.
Bath also has great transport links to many other major cities including Bristol, Devon and Cornwall, with London and the Welsh border easily accessible via the M4. Join the motorway at junction 18 by following Lansdown Lane and Freezinghill Lane towards the A420 and join the A46. Bristol is the largest neighbouring city. You can get there by following Bath Road/A431 for around six miles before joining the A420. The journey should take you around 40 minutes.
