At the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge you'll find one of America's great urban parks. If you visit Golden Gate Park you'll discover a vast green space within San Francisco that extends to more than three miles wide. The park is big enough to hold many visitor attractions, including the De Young art museum, boating lake and a music performance amphitheatre. The Academy of Science includes a planetarium and aquarium and park visitors can access the San Francisco Botanical Gardens here too. Elsewhere the Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest in the US and the elegant traditional wooden greenhouse is one of the biggest in the world.
