Hit the slopes with Hertz—and win

No matter where you travel in Europe during the winter months, you are never far from snow-covered mountains. That means plenty of fresh snow and excitement at ski resorts across the continent.

Keep reading to learn how you can win a Reward Rental Day voucher just for sharing your favourite ski slope with us.

France: Val Thorens

Everything is bigger at Val Thorens. Not only does this resort in the French Alps have the highest altitude at 2,300 metres, but it is also part of the largest linked ski area of over 600 kilometres. Val Thorens is the most popular international ski resort in France with more than 70% of its guests visiting from other countries. The resort has one of the world’s largest cable cars that can carry up to 150 passengers.

Germany: Garmisch-Classic

Ski enthusiasts visiting the Bavarian Alps in the south of Germany will want to explore the Garmisch-Classic alpine ski area near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was here that Alpine skiing debuted at the Winter Olympics in 1936. The area is best known for the Kandahar slope, where downhill speeds can exceed 100 kilometres per hour. No wonder this run is often used for international speed competitions.

Italy: Cortina d’Ampezzo

If you want to ski in the tracks of champions, there is no better place to do it than Cortina d’Ampezzo, the ‘Pearl of the Dolomites’. These slopes have welcomed world-class skiers, numerous World Cups, Nordic World Ski Championships, and the fondly remembered 1956 Winter Olympic Games. Enjoy 120 kilometres of non-stop thrills in one of the most picturesque villages in Northern Italy.

Spain: Baqueira-Beret

Often listed among the world’s best ski resorts, Baqueira-Beret is the largest and most visited ski resort in Spain. Located in the highest part of the Aran Valley, on the northern side of the Pyrenees, the resort is divided into three distinct zones and boasts over 150 kilometres of slopes. It also happens to be favoured by the Spanish Royal Family so you never know with whom you might be sharing a chair lift.

Switzerland: Crans-Montana

Located in southwestern Switzerland, Crans-Montana sits in the heart of the Swiss Alps. The resort is often the host of alpine ski racing competitions, most notably the 1987 World Championships. Roger Moore owns a chalet here, and while it is not likely you will see the former James Bond on the slopes you are welcome to do your best impersonation.
