Located on the Channel Islands is the British Crown popular short break destination of Guernsey, of which Saint Martins is one of ten parishes on the island. Known for being quite an affluent area, Saint Martins is a beautiful location found in the Southeast. Car hire in St Martins Airport is a brilliant way to settle you into the surrounding area, and gives you the freedom to explore the parish as part of the Island, not as an outsider. Hiring a car means you can easily travel from St Martins Airport and be in Guernsey itself in under 10 minutes.
Upon your arrival at St Martins, the only airport for the whole Island, car hire from St Martins Airport allows you to travel to see some of the most prominent landmarks. Haunteville House is a popular favourite, and is an attraction that should be visited no matter if you're there for business or leisure; situated only 3.2 miles from St Martins itself, the drive is a short and pleasant one at just seven minutes long. Another great location is the spooky history filled tunnels of the German Underground Hospital. Hiring a car at St Martins Airport will allow you to jet about the island and take in these attractions with ease.
St Martins Airport car rental is a great means to also visit the picturesque outdoor locations that Guernsey has to deliver its visitors. Candi Gardens is a stunning haven in full bloom, and is the perfect spot for a peaceful walk taking in the sights, and the chance for a well earned picnic. Found in St Peter Port this tourist favourite is a quick eight minute drive using the Fort Road route. St Martins Airport car rental is a wonderfully freeing way to see this beautiful area in a perhaps underappreciated part of the world.

Rental Qualifications and RequirementsI used Hertz Guernsey on three separate occasions between June and the end of August 2020. I was very satisfied with their; cars, customer service and prices, which I believe represented excellent value for money. Their daily rates were the most competitive based upon my on-line searches, they were extremely flexible about pick-up/ drop-off locations and times. Also, the vehicle inspections were handled very professionally every time. The only reason that I have not given 5 stars is that the choice of cars was somewhat limited. Which, to be fair, was hardly surprising, given that my hire periods were impacted by COVID-19.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) is highly recommended for non-European Union renters.
The IDP translates the national licence into various languages and is on its own, without the national licence, not acceptable.
