Porto is on Portugal's west coast. Although it's probably not as well-known as Lisbon, football fans will certainly be aware of the city due to F.C. Porto, one of the most famous teams in Europe and their home ground, the Estádio do Dragão. The city is referred to as either Oporto, or more often just, Porto, in modern European circles.
The Douro River runs through the city and which is spanned by the Arrabida Bridge and the iconic Ponte Luis I - one of Porto's major landmarks. Some of the city around these areas qualifies as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
