Pico Airport is an airport situated approximately 15 minutes from Madalena on the Portuguese Pico Island. Pico Island is home to the volcano Ponta do Pico which is the highest mountain in Portugal. It is also known as the Black Island because of its black volcanic earth which makes its historical vineyards UNESCO listed.
