Next to nearby Mena Creek Falls you will find a magnificent castle that is surrounded by a lush rainforest. The area is so picturesque that it is very popular as a wedding venue.
If you like a little more adventure in your holiday, rent a car in Cairns and take a walk on the wild side with a trip to the award winning Cairns Tropical Zoo. Six hectares of lush tropical scenery are home to hundreds of animals of all shapes and sizes.
The zoo is also one of the very few places in the world where you can actually 'cuddle a koala'. If you are looking to visit an area of culture and heritage then visit the state and National Heritage Listed Paronella Park.
