Hertz at Inverell

Inverell is an inland city in New South Wales, forming part of the New England Tablelands. It's famous for Sapphire fossicking - which you can try at dedicated locations such as Frazer's Creek and Seven Oaks. Inverell has the charm of an old pioneer town, and visitor centres such as Inverell Pioneer Village pay tribute to an authentic Australian way of life, symbolising what the city once stood for. The nearby local dams are always popular for fishing expeditions, and car hire in Inverell is great option as you can really explore the area. Inverell is a true pioneer's city - check out Pioneer Village for a taste of the old ways. The city currently lies on the Gwydir Highway, around an hour-and-a-half east from the famous Newell Highway. Exploring Gwydir Highway by hiring a car in Inverell is always popular, passing through the likes of Glen Innes, the Gibraltar Range National Park and Grafton, before breaking for the coast of Woolgoogla, around a 3 hour road trip. Inverell is a perfect base from which to explore the Australian countryside. These spots are prime locations for fishing expeditions, or simply for those who want to experience the scenic drives and see the rolling plateaus of the Northern Tablelands. Closer to home is the wonderful 'Olives of Beaulieu', Olive Grove. You can taste the products and enjoy the wonderful countryside just off the Gwydir Highway.
