If you want to experience the natural beauty of the area during your visit to Sheffield, the Peak District National Park is a fantastic way to do so. The 555 square-mile site can be explored by bicycle or on foot, guided by a park ranger. This is one of South Yorkshire's finest landscapes and offers so much to see, including the High Peak, Thornhill, Monsal and Tissington recreational trails and the brooding Stanage Edge rocky cliff within the Dark Peak section of the park. You can also discover more about the Peak District National Park at its visitor centres, or by attending the Science in the Park event. Entry to the park is free.
