Los Angeles is famed for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood's rich and famous, making it one of the most iconic cities not only in the United States, but in the world. So to celebrate the launch of the new Hertz Together US hub, we are offering one lucky person and a travel companion the chance to win the West Coast trip of a lifetime to the City of Angels.

Not only could you jet off on an adventure for two with economy return flights from the UK* from our airline prize partner Virgin Atlantic, but you could get to spend a week exploring the magnificent city of LA thanks to complimentary car hire and a carefully selected bundle of things to do from our activities partner and international booking platform Ceetiz.


The winner and their travelling companion will get to:

- Visit the famed green oasis of Palm Springs

- See LA from way above in a helicopter ride for two

- Take a day-trip to sunny San Diego

- Have a guided tour of LA's finest sites and landmarks

- Explore a piece of cinematic history at Universal Studios Hollywood

*If the winner is located in Germany or France, the prize will include economy return flights to the UK.


Terms & Conditions








-          One pair of Virgin Atlantic Economy** confirmed round trip tickets from the UK to Los Angeles for the named prize winner for travel between 1 May – 30 June 2016, inclusive. The winner must hold a valid passport for dates of travel and is responsible for applying for and securing a visa through prior to travel. Entry to the United States will not be granted without a valid visa. Printed proof of valid visa may be required.

-          One pair of Economy round trip tickets from the prize winner’s country of origin to the UK where the winner is located in France or Germany.

-          A seven night stay for two in Los Angeles.

-          Up to £100 towards airport transfers. The winner must keep any receipts or proof of purchases for airport transfers and reclaim this amount from the promoter after their trip. Failure to provide proof of purchase will void any claims, the promoter does not accept responsibility for lost or illegible proof of purchase.

-          Standard car hire for the duration of your stay in Los Angeles with Hertz. Car hire does not include fuel, which must be covered by the winner. Car hire is subject to the winner being aged 25 or over, and possessing a full, clean driving license and a credit or debit card.

-          Activities package for two people, arranged by Hertz through activities prize partner Ceetiz. This includes:


-          A helicopter ride over Los Angeles for two people between 20:00 – 22:00, lasting 40 mins

-          Two single-tickets to the Universal Studios in Hollywood, including hotel pick up and drop off

-          A full day trip for two people to San Diego, on either a Tuesday or Thursday

-          A guided minibus tour around Los Angeles for two people

-          A full day trip to Palm Springs for two people, including entry to the Living Desert Zoo and a ride in Palm Springs Aerial Tramway



















**Virgin Atlantic flights full terms and conditions:


  1. One pair of Virgin Atlantic Economy confirmed round trip tickets to Los Angeles for the named Prize Winner for travel between 1 May and 30 June 2016, inclusive.
  2. Travel is not permitted 10 days either side of Easter 2016.
  3. Actual dates of travel will be subject to availability and capacity control at the time of booking. Availability for use of the Prize is limited for each flight. Some flights may already be booked and consequently have no seats available. Popular dates (i.e. weekends & public holidays) will fill quickly and Virgin Atlantic cannot guarantee availability.
  4. The Prize Winner must travel on the same flight and on the same date as their companion. If the Prize Winner wishes to travel alone, the second ticket will be forfeited.
  5. The Prize is only valid for flights on routes operated by Virgin Atlantic and are non-transferable to any other airline, including any of Virgin Atlantic's codeshare partners and has no cash value.
  6. The Prize is valid for flights originating from the UK only. Virgin Atlantic is not responsible for transfers from France or Germany, as detailed above.
  7. Details of how to book the Virgin Atlantic flights and booking conditions will be shared with the prize winner by Hertz via email.
  8. No Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles will be awarded for travel under this competition.
  9. The Prize Winner and their companion will be entirely responsible for their visa, passport and insurance requirements.
  10. Passenger taxes, charges, fees and surcharges (the amount of which are subject to change) on the Prize flights to Miami in economy are to be paid for by Virgin Atlantic.
  11. The Prize Winner and their companion will abide by and be subject to Virgin Atlantic's published Conditions of Carriage, which are available from any Virgin Atlantic office. Virgin Atlantic flight schedules are subject to change without notice.
  12. The Prize is for travel in Economy only and is not upgradable.
  13. The Prize is non-transferable to another family member or any other named person and cannot be sold, bartered or substituted for any other prize.
  14. If the Prize is not redeemed, no alternative tickets will be issued and no compensation provided.
  15. Once a booking has been confirmed no changes are permitted. If a booking is cancelled by the Prize Winner no alternative tickets will be issued and the Prize will be deemed to have been used. For the avoidance of doubt, no compensation and/or refund will be provided.
  16. The Prize may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion or promotional fare mounted by Virgin Atlantic or any third party.
  17. Once the Prize has been issued Virgin Atlantic shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations caused by (but not limited to) weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, or any other circumstances beyond the control of Virgin Atlantic.
