Exhibition Road in South Kensington is home to three major British museums, with the Natural History Museum off Cromwell Road being one of the most established. Showcasing a collection of around 80 million specimens catalogued and archived during its 130-year history, the museum is best known for its dinosaur exhibits. Previous researchers include arguably the most important figure in our understanding of natural history, Charles Darwin. The Natural History Museum also runs year-round temporary exhibitions aiming to educate and inform visitors of all ages, making it ideal for a school trip or somewhere to spend the afternoon.
