Lugano is a city in the Italian speaking canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. It is the largest city in the canton and the biggest Italian speaking city outside of Italy. Due to its particularly warm summers and the increasing number of celebrities who visit the city, Lugano is known as the "Monte Carlo of Switzerland". It is one of the most popular cities in the country for tourism due to having 17 Swiss heritage sites of national importance. The city is also a favourite with those who enjoy outdoor activities.

You even get to sample anything from the entire Alprose collection. Just south of Lugano in Montagnola you will find the 'Hermann Hesse Museum'. He was a Nobel Prize winning author who spent half of his life living here.
