Vadsoe is a small town and municipality in Norway's Finnmark County, located at the northernmost end of the country. There are a number of other settlements that surround Vadsoe, while the Varangerfjord provides some stunning scenery and is also home to many species of native bird which make for fascinating study. Vadsoe and the Finnmark County are quite interesting because it is the home of the native Sami, an indigenous people of Norway. You'll find plenty of stunning attractions in this region and in order to reach them all in good time we recommend hiring a car from Vadsoe Airport.
Hiring a car from Vadsoe Airport allows you to check out the abundance of beautiful natural scenery, so start with a trip to Seiland National Park where you'll find beautiful mountains, rivers, fjords, and glaciers. The Nordkappmuseet is an enchanting museum where you can learn about the history of this region and how it relates to World War 2. You'll learn about how the local people's lives were affected and the general impact it had on the country. Then you can take a journey through time to the Hamningberg Old Fishing Village. Here you will see incredible natural landscapes; the small fishing village is very old with some beautiful architecture.
