Known as the ‘The Town of Roses', Molde is located to the west of Norway in the county of Møre og Romsdal. Hiring a car from Molde Airport Aro lets you head straight into the city to explore. You can enjoy a walk in the historical Eikesdal Valley or take a trip to see the Slettafossen waterfall. Molde also hosts Europe's oldest, and Norway's largest, jazz festival which attracts some of the biggest names in the industry as well as a lot of emerging talent. If you are looking into taking part in some more extreme activities while in Molde, there is ice climbing and skiing.
Rent a car from Molde Airport Aro and take a trip just 30 minutes out of the city to the Trollkirka, otherwise known as the Troll Church. It isn't actually a church but in fact a marble and limestone cave which sits in the mountains by underground rivers and waterfalls. Close to the city centre you will find the Romsdal Museum which is one of the biggest and most extensive folk museums in the country. It opened in 1912 and shows what the houses were like in the area before the war. You can join a guided tour or explore at your own pace.
