Colleferro's rail station stands alongside Via Sabotino in this small town in central Italy. If you pick up a hire car here you'll see there is a small car park in front of the station in Piazzale Martiri Della Foibe and an area of shelters for switching to the local bus network alongside. The station itself stands on the northern fringes of the town. Via Romana leads you south to the town centre, while just across the road bridge by the station you can join the SS6, which leads to the A1 motorway less than a mile to the north.
Colleferro is a small town surrounded by a farming region 36 miles southwest of Rome. Trains from here into the capital can take as little as 68 minutes. If you collect a hire car at Colleferro Station you'll have the choice of exploring this town, with its selection of old churches and wartime bunkers, or tour the highlights of the area, like the old hill-top city of Segni with its cathedral and city walls, and Paliano, a historic town built round its dominating fortress. And a few miles along the SS6 is Rainbow Magicland, a family-friendly theme park with rides, planetarium and live stunt shows.
