The city of Cannes is located in the French Riviera, a well-known tourist destination and most famous for hosting its annual Cannes film festival. The city is also famous for its luxury shops, restaurants, and beautiful weather providing an all-round wonderful holiday experience. The city is beautifully set out with wide pavements lined with palm trees. Whilst on your visit to Cannes be sure to visit some of the older parts of the city, such as Le Suquet, the oldest part of town, and the Musée de la Castre in the fortified tower of St Anne. Hiring a car from Cannes is also your gateway to Monaco, which is under an hour away, and easily one of the most glamorous places in the world.

Cannes is an amazing city with plenty for visitors to see and do, and is located within close proximity of various other picturesque towns such as Antibes, Monaco and Nice- all of which are well-worth a day out. Rent a car from Cannes and the historical town of Aix-en-Provence is only an hour and a half west by car. Aix has a famous brasserie, the Les Deux Garçons, which serves wonderful French food. The town was a favourite of Ernest Hemingway, and with its huge old buildings and ornate fountains, it's easy to see why.
