Hertz at Rue de l'Expansion

Alencon is a town in Normandy, parts of which have been restored to capture the ancient roots of the town. A lot of ancient features have been preserved here such as the circular wheat market and a stunning medieval quarter with wooden houses. Car hire from Alencon could take you to the Aquatic Centre, which has several large swimming pools to choose from as well as exciting water slides.

Normandy is famous for its castles and Gothic cathedrals, and Alencon has many impressive examples of both. Hiring a car from Alencon, at our Les Sept Jours Cerise branch, also means that you're only a couple of hours away from Paris if you fancy travelling further afield.

Alencon is in an ideal location for making day trips in and around the Normandy region by car. The Ecouves Forest is in the Pays d'Alencon, and doesn't take long to get to if you rent a car from Alencon. The forest is 16km long and 13km deep, making it a great place to go walking or cycling.

The town of Mamers is only half an hour away from Alencon; from Mamers you can access the Perseigne Forest, the Normandy-Maine Regional Park and the rest of the Saosnois area, which contains a lot of pretty villages set amongst near-perfect countryside.
