Albi is in the Tarn region of the South of France. The city is renowned for its medieval architecture, characterised by its intricate brickwork, and epitomised in the majestic structure that is Sainte Cecile Cathedral. Getting around the town is easiest via car so hire a car from Hertz in Albi so you can visit the historic quarter (one of the best preserved in France) which includes the Episcopal City, St Salvi and Castelviel. Renting a car from Albi also means you can be in Toulouse or Le Sidobre in less than an hour and is quick from our location at Val de Caussel – 15 Rue Jacques Monod.
Albi's primary attraction is Sainte Cecile Cathedral but if you are in the area it's also worth visiting the Musee Toulouse Lautrec which enjoys the worthy setting of the Palais de la Berbie. If you're hiring a car from Albi another consideration is the Regional Natural Haut-Languedoc Park via the D612; home to Le Sidobre – a granite plateau with some surreal formations. Alternatively, head for the sublime landscape associated with the Gorges of Aveyron – a pleasant drive northwest on the D600.
