The small town of Nummela stands in southern Finland, just 27 miles northwest of Helsinki. It is the centre of the Vihti region, which combines an agricultural and forestry heritage with modern commuting to the nearby capital. Visitors who hire a car in Nummela find that it is well connected to the national road network. The Route 25 (E18) passes close by, linking to both Turku and Helsinki, and the capital’s ring road is only a 15-minute drive away. The Nummela region makes a good touring destination, characterised by lakes, gentle hills and valleys, dotted with old manor houses.
