- Estacionamiento de la caldera de Taburiente (38758) is the best place to park if you fancy a hike through the Caldera National Park.
- Aparcamiento Puerto de Tazacorte (38779) park here and it's just a short walk away from Playa de Tazacorte - one of La Palma's largest and most popular beaches.

- The LP-1 is a main road that circles the coast in the north of the island.
- The LP-2 does the same in the southern half of the island.
- The LP-3 connects Puerto de Tazacorte on the west coast of La Palma with the capital, Santa Cruz, on the east coast - "crossing the summit" - as the locals say.
How to get from Santa Cruz de la Palma to Caldera de Taburiente National Park
It takes around an hour to drive from the capital of Santa Cruz de la Palma to Caldera de Taburiente National Park.
- Simply follow the LP-2 south and then take the LP-3 west, at El Fuerte, across the island.
- Pick up the LP-2 at Empalme Tajuya and continue on the LP-2 through Los Llanos and Balcon Taburiente until you reach the car park - Estacionamiento de la Caldera de Taburiente.
How to get from Santa Cruz de la Palma to Cumbre Vieja Natural Park
It takes about an hour to reach Cumbre Vieja Natural Park from Santa Cruz de la Palma. Simply head south out of Santa Cruz de la Palma on the LP-2 and continue on this road through Los Canarios in the south of the island. Stay on the LP-2, which now heads north, then turn right onto the LP-210, which takes you into the park.
