Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East country, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spanish enclaves (Ceuta and Melilla), Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

 

Hertz vehicles cannot be taken to and/or dropped off in the following islands: Balearic, Canary, Corsica and Sardinia.

 

Vehicles may be driven into but not dropped off in Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal.

  

The following vehicle groups cannot be driven into Italy:

 

 (A6) Volvo S90 Aut. or similar

 (B6) BMW Z4 Roadster

(F6) Mercedes C-Class Cabrio or similar

(G6) Opel Grandland X Aut. or similar

 (H6) Volvo XC60 or similar

(I) Volvo S60 Aut. or similar

(J) Volvo V60 Aut. or similar

(L6) Volvo XC90

 (M6) Fiat 500 Cabrio or similar

  (O6) Mercedes S-Class or similar

(R6) Porsche 911 Carrera

(V6) Tesla Model S Electric

(Y6) Volvo XC40 Aut or similar

 (Z6) Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H

  

***Please note: Vehicle group (D6) Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid cannot be taken across the borders of the Netherlands. ***

 

Hertz vehicles cannot be driven into Norway, Sweden and Finland between 1 October and 1 April as vehicles are not winterised for extreme weather conditions.

 

Should you bring the vehicle outside the Netherlands, a Cross Border fee of € 20.00 (including tax) will apply except for customers on business contract rates (CR). Please note a penalty charge of € 600.00 may apply, should you omit to declare you will be driving the vehicle out of the Netherlands.

  

*Please refer to "Environmental Zones" in the German Rental Qualifications & Requirements if you intend to drive to or drop the vehicle in Germany.

 

Should these restrictions be ignored all insurance (Third Party Liability, CDW, TP, PI, Super Cover), if accepted, shall be deemed, null and void. The driver will be held fully responsible in case of damage to or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle.
