According to the Italian Highway Code, the use of child car seats for the transportation of children is mandatory (art. 172).
Hertz offers an option to rent a child seat to be used forward facing for children up to 60 inches (150 cm) in height or up to 12 years of age and weighing 18-80 pounds (8-36 kilos). For children up to 4 years, an external anti-abandonment device is provided and included in the price.

Hertz offers child seats at most locations and for all vehicle groups except for:

(K4) Ford Custom (Disabled) or similar

Commercial vans/trucks

(H4) Ford Transit 350L Fridge Box or similar

(I4) Ford Transit Refrigerated or similar

(L4) Iveco Daily Double Cab or similar

(M4) Ford Custom Refrigerated or similar

(P4) Iveco Daily Tail Lift or similar
