Credit cards:

In order to prepay your reservation you need to have a credit card that is open to both Internet and abroad payments.

The name you specify when making your reservation must match the name on the credit card you pay with. The same credit card also needs to be presented at the location, when you pick up your rental car.

You can use most credit cards. Debit cards need to be connected to VISA or MasterCard. Electronic card may also be used when you prepay your rent (pay now), just remember that you need to present both the electronic card PLUS a valid bank or credit card at the time of pick-up.

Further information regarding conditions for credit cards and depositions is available here:

(Choose “Forms of Payment”.)

Age restrictions:

There are certain age restrictions in some countries for rental holders under 25 years of age, also in some countries there is a charge applicable for those under the age of 25. Please check the conditions at the time of reservation.

You can find more information here:

(Choose “Age restrictions and Exceptions”.)

Additional driver:

If anyone else beside the person making the reservation will be driving the rental car, this person needs to be added as an Additional driver on the contract. There is an Additional driver fee per day (38 NOK per day in Norway).

To add an additional driver he or she has to come along when you pick up the rental car and present a valid driver’s license for our Hertz staff.

As a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member you can add 1 additional driver per rental agreement without any extra cost (apply for spouse/partner). Enroll for free today!

You can find more information here:

(Choose “Additional Driver / Operator”.)

Driver's license:

The renter and any additional drivers must present a valid driver’s license, which has been held for at least 1 year.

For more information, please go to

(Choose “Driver’s License”.)

Late arrival:

If you do not arrive at the specified pick-up location for the rental within an hour of the specified pick-up time, the reservation will expire. If you will be arriving later you need to contact Hertz as soon as possible.

For more information about terms and conditions regarding “Late arrivals”, please go to
