Terms and Conditions


1. Terms and Conditions of the Network-wide Benefits. The following terms and conditions apply to the Network-wide Benefits:

a. General:

• These benefits are available only to valid American Express cardmembers who have created an American Express benefits-enabled Gold Plus Rewards program profile by enrolling via the dedicated enrolment process at www.hertz.com/AmexBenefits, or for existing Gold Plus Rewards members who have added promotional CDP# 705500 to their Gold Plus Rewards profile.
• In all cases, a valid American Express card must be registered as the form of payment in theiryour Gold Plus Reward membership profile.
  Benefits are only available for new reservations via www.hertz.com, www.hertz.com/AmexBenefits or through Hertz worldwide telephone reservations when the member’s American Express benefits-enabled Gold Plus Rewards membership number is entered prior to completion of the booking.
• Entire payment must be made on a valid American Express card.
• American Express Card members may use this offer as many times as they desire during the validity period.
• Renters must meet all Hertz qualifications, standards and requirements as per the terms and conditions of Hertz rental agreements. Rental period and return restrictions apply. Visit the Hertz website at www.hertz.com for full details.
• Vehicle must be returned to location of rental, if not a one way charge will be applied if returned to a different location, for details, please check at location during vehicle pick up.
• Offer only valid if purchased using an American Express card and when quoting their CDP#705500 (or entering the Cardmember’s American Express benefits-enabled Gold Plus Rewards membership number) at time of reservation.
• Leisure minimum rental age is 23 years  (exceptions apply, as noted in Hertz Reservation Terms and Conditions)
• A clean and valid driving license must be held for at least 1 year to rent a Hertz Collection vehicle.
• Offer is subject to availability at participating locations
• Offer may not be combined with any other promotional offer.
• Standard blackout dates apply (see Hertz Reservation Terms and Conditions) 
• Other conditions may apply, please see the specific Rental Qualifications and Requirements for each country for full details
• Hertz reserves the rights to modify and/or cancel any offers without prior notice

b. Hertz Collection Eligibility for the Network-Wide Benefits:

• Applicable to Hertz Family, Fun, Green and Prestige Collections at participating locations worldwide
  Dream Collection and Supercars vehicles are excluded from this program (e.g., discount, upgrade, and additional driver)
• Hertz Collection vehicles are excluded from the upgrade benefit (i.e., upgrades are not available for Green, Fun, Prestige, Family, Dream/Supercar Collection vehicles)
• Hertz Collections are only available at participating locations.
• All vehicle models are limited subject to availability and subject to change without notice
• Minimum rental age for Hertz Prestige Collection vehicles in Europe is 30 (exceptions may apply)
• An American Express Card must be presented at rental counter and for payment. A second credit card may be required for verification purpose, when renting a Prestige Collection vehicle.

c. Discount savings:

• Discount is off Hertz’s publicly available retail rates (excluding Special Offers) at time of booking at participating Hertz locations worldwide.

• Dream Collection,  Supercars, Vans and commercial vehicles are not eligible for the discount.

• Discount is only applied when quoting CDP#705500 (or entering the Cardmember’s American Express benefits-enabled Gold Plus Rewards membership number) at time of reservation.
  - Discount applies to time, mileage and all mandatory insurance and waivers that may be included in the base rate charge.
  - Discount  does not apply to any additional surcharges, Location Service Charge, taxes and any optional extras, including but not limited to Excess Waiver (Super Cover), Personal Accident insurance (PAI), snow chains/tyres, child seats, one-way charges, and GPS, etc..
  - When booking, prepaid rates are quoted in home currencies (e.g. Sterling when booking from UK), non-prepaid rates will be quoted in the local currency (at the rental destination)Vehicle must be returned to location of rental, if not a one-way charge will apply.

• Hertz reserves the rights to modify and/or cancel any offers without prior notice

 

d. Complimentary one-car-class upgrade:

• This is subject to availability and available at participating locations worldwide for rentals of 5 or more consecutive days.
• Complimentary one-car-class upgrade is subject to availability and based on availability of larger car at time of rental.
• One-car-class upgrade does not apply to Hertz Collections (Green, Fun, Prestige, Family, Dream/Supercars), Vans and Special vehicles.

e. Fee-Waived Additional Driver:

• Complimentary additional driver must be requested at rental location prior to collecting the rental car, and is subject to meeting Hertz’s driving requirements.

 

2. Restrictions on destination participating countries:

The following countries  and/or Hertz locations  are excluded from the list of Destination Participating Countries:

a. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Taiwan  rental locations are excluded from all benefits of this offer.
b. Japan locations will participate, however at up to  5% discount and a fee-waived additional driver. However, a one car-class upgrade is not available
c. Portugal has blackout dates from 18th July to 17th August, and 12th December to 3rd January; during these blackout dates, no benefits related to this offer will be available
