Driving a Stronger Future

Following the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting decline in travel demand, Hertz Global Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Hertz, announced on May 22, 2020 that it and certain of its U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries have filed voluntary petitions for financial reorganization under the U.S. Chapter 11 legal process. Hertz’s principal international operating regions, including Europe, Australia and New Zealand, are not included in the Chapter 11 proceedings.

This process gives Hertz a path to continue navigating the effects of COVID-19, while creating a stronger financial structure to better position the company for the future.

Importantly, customers can expect the same high level of service and reliability they expect of our brands, including new initiatives such as “Hertz Gold Standard Clean” sanitization protocols to provide additional safety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All operations, reservations, promotional offers, vouchers, customer and loyalty programs are also continuing as usual.
