Strasbourg is a truly enchanting European city oozing atmosphere and old world charm; parallels to cities like Bruges are quite fitting. The Grand Ile is the area of the city that many people grow to love due to its fairy-tale medieval streets that exude both German and French influence.
Strasbourg occupies a place on the border of Alsace which makes it of huge strategic importance; hence the amount of EU buildings here. Car hire at Strasbourg Airport is popular due to the fact that places like Stuttgart, Zurich and Freiburg are all within easy driving distance. Hiring a car at Strasbourg Airport puts you at the heart of a true geographical confluence where Europe is at your mercy.
Most tourists visiting Strasbourg will head straight for the Grand Ile – the picturesque UNESCO listed area of the city. Here you'll find Notre Dame, which is the tallest cathedral in France, and Petite France which is the dreamy fairy-tale part of town packed with first rate restaurants and cosy bars. While you're in this part of town, check out the Musee de L'Oeuvre for some awe inspiring medieval art works. The Grand Ile is a great stage for the Strasbourg Christmas Markets. For something that represents the newer side of Strasbourg, visit the Musee d'Art Moderne et Contemporain which houses some major modern artworks and instillations.
Hiring a car in Strasbourg gives you easy access to both Basel and the historic Heidelberg. Heidelberg provides you with a glimpse of some of Germany's most modern, and controversial, history. If you're hiring a car at Strasbourg Airport, the Parc de l'Orangerie is a couple of miles outside the city centre and the nearby E52 takes you all the way to Germany. The A35 heads south out of the city through popular towns like Obernai where you can absorb the views from the Mont Sainte Odile Convent. Rent a car at Strasbourg Airport and enjoy Strasbourg's position as a vital artery of mainland Europe.

(Translated by Google) Easy to access thanks to the airport parking (be careful the price is very excessive). No one accompanies us to the vehicle, we have to find it alone. The loaned car had lots of unspecified “defects”. Fortunately the agency gives us 2 hours to take photos of what we see. Remember to have a bank card with embossed numbers otherwise you will absolutely not be able to rent a vehicle because deposit checks are not accepted. Too bad it closed on Saturday.

If you refill the fuel tank, please do so within 15km of where you return the vehicle, and keep your receipt as you will need to present it to our team.
If you do not take our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) – see Fuel Policy for details - and do not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, we will fill the tank for you and charge you for the costs we incur and the service we provide in doing so. Our costs include purchasing, storing and managing our own fuel supplies, or refilling the tank off site, plus manpower and administration costs. Our service, of course, saves you from taking the time to find a local fuel station and refilling the vehicle yourself. The refuelling charge for your rental will be calculated as follows:
