As the main commercial airport in Cornwell, Newquay International Airport is a particularly significant means of widening the opportunities for leisure and business passengers; in offering flights to aboard and domestic locations, Cornwell can stay linked to major cities such as London. Managed by CAL, known as Cornwell Airport Limited, and owned by the county council it is an extremely busy airport, especially for domestic locations. Car hire in Newquay International Airport is a great means of travelling around Newquay and appreciating the North coast. Furthermore, it connects to you the centre of Newquay in just under a ten minute drive, an ideal and easy commute for tourist and business men/women.
Partnered with the natural beauty of the coast, Newquay also delivers some exceptional historic and cultural locations that are worthy of your time during your visit – even if you're only there for the day, trying to fit in the 'must see sights' is well worth the effort. Rent a car in Newquay International Airport and you can be at the grand National Trust property, Trerice, situated a convenient 10 minutes away from the airport. The Elizabethan architecture that has been restored having survived throughout the centuries is easily one of the main attractions of the whole of Cornwell, let alone Newquay.
Newquay International Airport car rental also allows you to take a 2 minute drive along the A358 (if directly leaving the airport) to travel to the Lappa Ralley Steam Railway, which is a great choice if you want a family friendly day out. Sporting three railways on the site, and over three miles of track, it is a location that young and old will like. It's an engaging and interactive means of entertaining yourselves and the kids, opting for something a little more unusual than the beaches that line the coast.

I had booked a car at short notice and after a nerve wracking flight, arrived at the Hertz office at Newquay airport. All seemed to be going well until the Hertz chap, informed me that my licence had, in fact, expired. Without a word, Matt H, got on the phone to see if there was anything Hertz could do to help my predicament. It was dark, very foggy, late and I was there because my son in law, suddenly became life threatening ill. I had, literally dropped everything and jumped on the first flight I could get there. My daughter is registered disabled and they have two small children and they live in an isolated location. Matt asked his supervisor, if he could drive me in the car I had booked. It was an hours drive. The supervisor said no, as I suspected he would, saying it wasnt Hertzs, fault. I had to get a very expensive taxi in the end Matt H stayed with me until I was all sorted. I didnt write this review for Hertz as a company but for the kindness and care that Matt H, in the Newquay Airport office, showed towards a very worried Mother/mother-in-law/grandmother. I have now renewed my licence and am able to hire a car. I would use Hertz again in the hope I get the service and attention, I got from Matt H! I will call Hertz in the morning and attempt to hire a car with the approval from the DVLA and no physical licence. Thank you Matt!!!! with kind regards, Lesley Dunlop

Petrol / Diesel vehicles:
If you do not take our Fuel Purchase Option (FPO) – see Fuel Policy for details - and do not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, we will fill the tank for you and charge you for the costs we incur and the service we provide in doing so.
Our costs include purchasing, storing and managing our own fuel supplies, or refilling the tank off site, plus manpower and administration costs. Our service, of course, saves you from taking the time to find a local fuel station and refilling the vehicle yourself.
The refuelling charge for your rental will be calculated as follows:
3 x weekly pump price taken from the EU Commission Energy website.
We will show the actual cost of refuelling on your rental agreement when you pick up your vehicle.
Electric vehicles:
Hertz will record the vehicle battery charge at the start of the rental. Failure to return the vehicle in the same state of charge as at pick-up will result in a recharging fee for the missing kWh. The per kWh fee changes from time to time with energy price adjustments but the current per kWh fee amount is available at the pick-up location.
