Arnold Arboretum is situated in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston and is under the jurisdiction of the nearby University of Harvard. Originally built in 1872, the park covers over 280 acres of land and is regarded as one of the finest collections of plants and herbaria, as well as homing an extensive library of horticultural books.
