Providing both an educational value and a fun time, Wythenshawe Community Farm is a great place to take your young children. First established back in 1984, the charitable organisation offers visitors a real hands-on experience of the day-to-day running of a farm, ranging from taking care of the animals to the up-keep of the land. The on-site experts will educate visitors on where their food actually comes from, showing how to grow your own vegetables and inside the livestock pens. With the likes of cows, sheep and horses all based at the Wythenshawe Park complex, visitors can get up close and personal with the local residents, and if you are lucky, you'll even see some of the animals at feeding time.
