The converted redbrick warehouse on the waterside at Albert Dock is, of course, a branch of the prestigious Tate chain of contemporary art galleries and features pieces from the national Tate collection. It's free to enter the gallery and popular with visitors and locals alike. In fact, more than half a million people discover Tate Liverpool every year, making it one of the most visited galleries outside London.
