The suburb of Yeadon stands to the north-west of Leeds, next to the Leeds-Bradford Airport. The 'tarn' is a man-made lake surrounded by a large public park between the local high street and the airport runway. If you visit Yeadon Tarn you'll find it's a perfect spot for all sorts of activities. There's a playground for children, BMX track for daredevil cyclists and level paths for walkers. You'll find a bowling green plus facilities for anglers and watersports too. Look out too for the regular brass band concerts held in the summer. Some visitors, however, come to Yeadon Tarn just to relax, have a picnic or watch the planes landing and taking off from the airport.
