The city of Leeds has one of Europe's biggest urban parks. If you visit Roundhay Park you'll find more than 700 acres of public greenery, including woodland, parkland, lakes and gardens. One of the highlights is Tropical World, a group of greenhouses holding one of the UK's biggest collections of tropical plants. It includes a butterfly house, aquarium and various animal pens. Elsewhere in Roundhay Park discover a small mansion house containing a visitor centre, a lakeside café, sports and music venues, a castle folly, golf course and tennis courts. You'll find two lakes surrounded by trees. You can fish in one, and sit back to admire the fountains in the other.
