This romantic turreted castle is the headquarters of the clan Brodie and makes a great day out for visitors to the north of Scotland. Visit Brodie Castle to explore inside fortified passageways, rooms and towers that are stuffed with antique furniture and paintings. The library alone has 6,000 valuable volumes. You'll discover that Brodie Castle is a mix of ancient stronghold and opulent home - it dates back to the 16th century and is now in the hands of the National Trust for Scotland. The castle stands in extensive parkland and gardens and includes an adventure playground, nature trail with wildlife-watching hides, and a neat walled garden.
