Glasgow

Located on Pointhouse Place, the Riverside Museum is home to one of the world's finest collections of ships, bikes and cars. Having over 3,000 objects on display has allowed the museum to explore Glasgow's rich transport heritage, ranging from the early 1800s to the modern day. Opened in 2011 to replace the old Glasgow Museum of Transport, the new Riverside complex has a whole host of interactive exhibits, and visitors can take a step back in time to walk the streets of 19th century Glasgow when it was a world leader in the maritime industry. As such, the museum couldn't be in a more perfect location - adjacent to Glasgow Harbour at the site where the River Clyde meets the Kelvin.
