Cambridge

Set in the south-east of the city, you will find the Grade II-listed Victorian country house Cherry Hinton Hall, and its surrounding park and mature trees. Originally built by surgeon John Okes in 1839, the house came under Cambridge City Coucil's ownership after the Second World War. While the house isn't open to the public, there's plenty of reason to visit the grounds. The Cambridge Folk Festival brings thousands to the park every year and while various other events at the park draw the crowds, the wide open spaces, paddling pool and large ponds and tennis court make it an attractive prospect for walkers and families.
