This 1100-acre family farm on the South Downs near Brighton is an unlikely visitor attraction. But if you visit Mile Oak Farm you'll find it is a great spot for families. First, there's an extensive farm shop, which sells all sorts of food and local produce. Then there are the fun free activities, like watching dogs or ferrets racing each other. Some of the best activities at Mile Oak Farm require a small donation to local charities. You may have a chance to try airgun shooting or archery, have donkey rides and meet farm animals. Kids, meanwhile, can enjoy trailer rides, see traction engines and vintage farm equipment. There's even a barbecue cooking up a selection of treats if you're feeling hungry.
