St George's Market is the only Victorian covered market left standing in Belfast, and is currently home to more than 300 stalls offering a wide range of wares during trading hours. First built in 1896, the market has also hosted concerts by musically diverse acts like Duffy and Biffy Clyro. But it's during the weekends that St George's Market really comes to life; offering three completely different days of themed sales beginning with the Variety Market on Fridays, where you can expect to find antiques, clothes and books in and among the usual stalls. Saturday's City Food and Craft Market offers local and international delicacies alongside local arts and crafts stalls, while the Sunday market offers the best of both worlds.
